Photochemical and Photobiological Sciences (PPS)
Official Organ of The European Photochemistry Association (EPA)
and The European Society for Photobiology (ESP),
and The Asia and Oceania Society for Photobiology (AOSP) and The Korean Society of Photoscience (KSP)
Published by The Royal Society of Chemistry, UK

Dear Colleagues in Photochemistry and Photobiology:

The AOSP is comprised of the national and regional photobiology societies including the Photobiology Association of Japan (PAJ) and the Korean Society of Photoscience (KSP). It decided to adopt the PPS, a fully accredited SCI journal, as its official periodical effective January 2006. This decision was based on the belief that the PPS is becoming internationally the most important journal in the areas of photochemical and photobiological sciences. The current Impact Factor of 2.5 and Immediacy Factor of 0.5 (IF = number of citations per paper published in the current year) of this journal are highest among the photochemical and photobiological journals, indicating the increasing impacts of the papers published in PPS.

Of great interest to the scientists and students in Asia, an Asian Editorial Office is located at Cheju National University, Jeju, Korea, under a MECI International management contract with AOSP. The Editor-in-Asia will be handling the editorial review/recommendation of papers submitted by the authors in Asian countries. We urge you to subscribe to the journal, and submit your papers for publication in this non-commercial scientific society journal. You may become an individual member of the AOSP to receive access to the online version of PPS by paying the subscription fee (currently 40 euros).
